Deal or No Deal!

April 10 2012

Some people think that praying isn’t important. That prayer is no big deal. But prayer IS a big deal. Are you going to pray? Deal or no deal!

If you’ve suffered a setback—in your health, in your finances, in your marriage, or some other area of your life—don’t be discouraged. That was only the devil chiming in ONE LAST time before he went on out the door.

God answers prayer. But if you don’t pray, guess what? He won’t answer. You’ve got to talk to God everyday, more than once. Start praying today.

If the devil throws something at you—throw it back. I hear people say, “I am catching a cold. I am catching the flu.” Sometimes they make it sound as if they have a baseball glove on trying to catch everything the devil is throwing. Many could win the Golden Glove award because they’re good at catching. DON’T EVER TRY to catch something the devil is throwing at you. But if you do catch something he throws, (because none of us are perfect) stand up and throw it back!

The devil likes to play games, but He don’t play fair—so don’t play with him.

While you’re looking down on others, remember—God is looking down on you. When you hold others in high-esteem, God holds you in high-esteem. Exalt yourself and you’ll be abased (brought low) Humble yourself and God will exalt you (lift you up) (1st Peter 5:6)  Humble means: Not proud, modest. If we want the favor of God  we need to humble ourselves. God  hates a proud look. (Proverbs 6:17)

When it comes to trouble I hear people say, ‘when it rains it pours.’ That statement reinforces satan’s plans. Let’s try to take a more positive out-look. The Bible says we can have what we say. So, let’s say, the only rain in my life, is when the Lord is showering me with His blessings. (Malachi 3:10)

We all know that God CAN do anything. But, what most wonder is—WILL He? Here is the answer. “For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 1st Corinthians 1:20. So, if you’re wondering if God will meet your need today, wonder no more. The answer is a resounding YES and AMEN!

Emergency Situations

When you find yourself in a life or death situation—a full blown emergency—and you’re so numb you don’t know how to pray—just whisper JESUS! That is all you need to say. He’ll take it from there.
